Released in 1974, Here Come the Warm Jets arrived just after Eno’s departure from Roxy Music and introduced him as something far more interesting than a former keyboard player. The album was theatrical, abrasive, funny, beautiful, and deliberately difficult to categorize—pop music with its wiring exposed.
