Before the Castro had house beats and the EndUp had sunrise, there was the Trocadero Transfer — San Francisco’s original temple of disco excess. From 1977 through the late 90's, this South of Market nightclub pulsed all night under spinning mirrored balls, hosting legendary DJs, laser lights, and endless fog. It was where strangers became friends at 4 a.m., and where the city’s queer nightlife found its rhythm.
