Once perched along Route 202 just outside New Hope, the Old Cartwheel Inn was one of Bucks County’s most beloved gay watering holes — a mix of rustic charm, cabaret energy, and weekend escape for queer travelers from Philly and New York. Known for its cozy dance floor, piano sing-alongs, and famously welcoming crowd, it became a fixture of New Hope’s golden age of queer nightlife.
The hand-drawn design from the 1970s, is faithfully restored from an original sketch. Its rough lines and imperfect lettering aren’t printing flaws — they’re part of the story. Every curve and wobble reflects the DIY spirit of the era, when a bar’s logo was more likely to be drawn on a napkin than by a marketing team.
