Potomac Street, the Bull Ring became a beacon for queer nightlife in the Hagerstown area during a time when such spaces were rare in the region. Opening around the early 1970s and running into the mid-to-late 1980s, it offered a social refuge, a dance floor, and community for local LGBTQ patrons.
