The Buffalo was a no-frills cornerstone of Las Vegas’s LGBTQ+ nightlife, serving the city’s leather, bear, and Levi crowd for decades. Tucked into the Paradise Road “Fruit Loop,” it was a haven of cheap drinks, pool tables, and denim-clad regulars who kept the jukebox spinning and the conversations lively. Opened in 1980 and lasting until 2023, the Buffalo offered a rare mix of grit and warmth—a place where out-of-towners and locals alike could drop their guard.
