Satan’s Scent was a provocative brand of poppers (alkyl nitrite inhalants) that emerged during the 1970s and 1980s, a period when such products were marketed under various guises like "room odorizers" to circumvent legal restrictions. Known for its edgy and transgressive branding, Satan’s Scent featured taglines like “a devilish aroma,” aligning with other brands of the era that employed bold, often darkly humorous marketing strategies. These brands, including Satan’s Scent, became integral to gay nightlife and culture, symbolizing both liberation and defiance.
