Operating from 1976 to 2014, it became part of the city’s late-night landscape, just steps from bars, restaurants, and the evolving LGBTQ scene.

Inside, Sansom Cinema reflected the classic adult theater experience of its era: continuous screenings, dimly lit interiors, and a steady flow of patrons passing through at all hours. For many, it was more than just a theater—it was part of a broader network of spaces that existed quietly alongside more visible nightlife, offering connection and anonymity in equal measure.
