Located at 579 Boylston Street, Ramrod opened its doors in the late 1981 and quickly became one of the city’s most iconic hubs for leather and fetish culture. Known for its bold presence and loyal community, it was more than a nightlife spot — it was a gathering place where men found freedom, expression, and solidarity. Through the 1980s and 1990s, Ramrod stood as a cornerstone of Boston’s LGBTQ nightlife before closing in 2020.
