Partners – 718 N. Rampart St. — New Orleans (1970s–1990s Era)
On the edge of the French Quarter, at 718 North Rampart Street, Partners carved out its own lane in New Orleans’ queer nightlife — equal parts western bar, leather hangout, and neighborhood institution.
Operating from the 1970s into the 1990s, Partners stood during a defining era for LGBTQ bars in the South. Rampart Street was already known as part of the city’s gay corridor, and Partners leaned into a distinctly masculine aesthetic: boots, denim, Levi’s, harnesses, jukebox country, and later, harder-edged dance nights.
