Long before casinos dominated Atlantic City and before arena tours ruled the region, there was the Latin Casino Supper Club in Cherry Hill, New Jersey — one of the most glamorous and influential entertainment venues in the Delaware Valley.
Opened in 1960, the Latin Casino quickly became a destination supper club where dinner, cocktails, and world-class performances happened under one roof. For more than two decades — until its closure in 1982 — it brought major headliners to South Jersey just minutes from Philadelphia.
The stage hosted legends: Frank Sinatra. Diana Ross. Sammy Davis Jr. Tom Jones. The Jackson 5.
It wasn’t just a concert hall. It was a full evening out — white tablecloths, waitstaff weaving between tables, spotlights rising as the curtain opened. You dressed up. You ordered drinks. You experienced the show.
In its later years, the venue expanded into a larger theater space while keeping the name — maintaining its reputation as a serious stop on the East Coast performance circuit. For local families and music fans, seeing a show at the Latin Casino was an event.
