Knolle — Berlin, Germany Deep in Schöneberg’s leather district, Knolle opened in the mid-1970s and quickly became one of the city’s most notorious men-only fetish and leather bars—rumoured to be among the first in West Berlin to host a true dark-room. Long praised and controversial, it emerged during a period of radical queer visibility and friction.
