J-Wag’s — Memphis, TN (1982–2012) Before Beale Street went corporate, J-Wag’s was where Memphis came to sweat, flirt, and dance under the neon haze. Equal parts dive bar and disco, it drew a loyal crowd of gay locals, drag performers, and late-night wanderers looking for something real. The drinks were strong, the music louder, and the nights seemed to stretch forever.
