J & L Saloon was a foundational gay leather bar in Seattle, established in 1980 by owners Jim and Lance.They transformed a mid-century lounge called Le Chateau into what would become the city's first leather bar.The name "J & L" derived from the initials of the owners, and the venue was affectionately nicknamed "Judy's Lounge" by patrons.
