Grand Central — Baltimore, MD (1991–2020)

Multi-level, high-energy, and always in motion—Grand Central wasn’t just a club, it was a full night under one roof.

Opened in 1991 in Baltimore’s Mount Vernon neighborhood, Grand Central quickly became one of the city’s defining LGBTQ venues. With multiple floors, distinct rooms, and a constant rotation of DJs, drag shows, and themed nights, it offered something for every mood—whether you came to dance, watch, or just take it all in.

It was a space built for scale. Packed weekends, lines out front, and a crowd that mixed locals with visitors passing through. Over the years, it became a cornerstone of Baltimore nightlife—part club, part community hub, and a place where different scenes overlapped without losing their edges.

After nearly three decades, Grand Central closed in 2020, marking the end of one of the city’s most recognizable queer spaces.
