Operating from the 1980s into the 2010s, Full Moon Saloon was one of Central Florida’s most beloved gay bear bars, a place where body-positive, no-attitude community came first.
Full Moon Saloon wasn’t about polish or performance — it was about comfort, camaraderie, and authenticity. Bears, cubs, daddies, leather guys, and friends gathered under its low lights for drinks, conversation, and connection, creating a space that rejected mainstream club aesthetics in favor of warmth and inclusion. In a city better known for theme parks and nightlife spectacle, Full Moon offered something rarer: a true neighborhood bar for grown-up gay life.
