From the frozen nights of Alberta came one of Canada’s hottest dance floors — Flashback, Edmonton’s legendary gay nightclub. Opened in 1974, it quickly became a beacon for the city’s queer community, where drag shows, disco lights, and defiance filled the air long before Pride was mainstream.
