Neon-lit and deeply sleazy in the best possible way, Crimes of Passion sits at the intersection of erotic thriller, psychological drama, and pure ’80s exploitation cinema. Directed by Ken Russell, the film pushes everything to excess—sexual tension, religious obsession, nighttime cityscapes, and emotional breakdowns all turned up to maximum volume.
At the center is Kathleen Turner in one of her boldest performances, shifting between polished fashion designer by day and provocative nightlife persona by night.
