At 440 Castro Street, it wasn’t just another bar — it was a living room, clubhouse, and dance floor all in one, where deep laughs, strong drinks, and welcoming arms defined the night as much as any playlist.
Bear culture in queer nightlife celebrates bodies that don’t fit the mainstream mold: big, hirsute, rugged, warm, and often gentle.
