Sometimes the DMV gets it exactly right.
The ASSMAN license plate comes from the classic Seinfeld episode “The Fusilli Jerry,” which originally aired in 1995. Kramer goes to pick up his new plates only to discover that the DMV has accidentally handed him somebody else’s vanity plate: ASSMAN. Wikipedia
Naturally, Kramer doesn't immediately return it. He decides the plate must belong to a proctologist and quickly discovers that driving around New York as the ASSMAN comes with certain advantages—including attention from women and the confidence to park in a doctors-only space.
Eventually the mystery is solved when Kramer encounters Dr. Howard Cooperman, a proctologist who has also received the wrong plates. A photograph of the doctor's boat reveals its name: ASSMAN. Mystery solved. IMDb
It’s one of those perfectly stupid Seinfeld jokes that somehow became permanently lodged in pop culture. You don't need Kramer’s face, the apartment, or even the Seinfeld logo. That New York license plate says everything.
