Known for its welcoming atmosphere and eclectic mix of patrons — from preppy dancers and drag performers to rugged bikers and bear types — Apollo’s became a social hub where diverse crowds converged for drinks, camaraderie, and regular entertainment like karaoke and themed nights.
Part of Phoenix’s early bar scene alongside other beloved venues in the 1970s and ’80s, Apollo’s offered something for everyone.
