Before streaming, before DVDs, and long before the internet, adult cinemas were a familiar part of urban gay life. In Miami Beach, few were more recognizable than the 21st Street Cinema.
Located in the heart of South Beach during a period when the neighborhood was evolving into one of America's most vibrant LGBTQ+ destinations, the theater became part of the fabric of local gay culture.
