The name combined \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003ecinema\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMattachine\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e, and the project grew out of the organization’s earlier sex-education film programs. Membership advertisements listed \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003efilms, lockers, showers, a music room, television lounge, gay information center, community-events box office, travel club, and other facilities\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e.
